FAMILY NETWORK'S ART DISPLAYED AT RUTH FELL WANDER ART WALL AT FIRST BANK OF HIGHLAND PARK
Family Network showcased art work from children and families from all its programs on the Ruth Fell Wander Community Art Wall at the First Bank of Highland Park. Staff, families and the bank Executive Vice President Tom Olivieri, were all in attendance on Thursday June 14th to view the colorful and engaging art work created by Family Network program participants.
The Ruth Fell Wander Community Art Wall was created in 2002 to showcase novice artwork from local schools and non-profit organizations, as well as to give visibility to the various resources and services offered to the community. Each month, First Bank of Highland Park extends a personal invitation to each artist and/or organization to attend a reception in celebration of their exhibition.
Family Network a Family Focus center, was founded in 1983 in Highland Park by early childhood professionals seeking to connect young children and families with one another to help reduce isolation, build friendships and establish a supportive community network. Family Network has three distinct programs offerings to young children and families including: The Parent/Child Center, The Right From The Start Program serving Spanish speaking families and The After School Activity Program serving elementary age students from five local elementary schools. Family Network's mission is to promote the well being of children from birth by supporting and strengthening their families in and with their community.
